They drain into the internal iliac vein via the prostatic venous plexus.

Parasympathetic fibers from the pelvic splanchnic nerve (S2-4).

Sympathetic fibers have their preganglionic motor fibers from the roots T10-12, and L1-2 to relay in the aortic, superior or inferior mesenteric ganglia or on the sympathetic trunk.
