Male reproductive organ which is part of the external genitalia in that sex. It is used for both release of semen (ejaculation) and  urination.

This organ is designed for copulation. It is made up of two spongy tissue as follows

Corpus spongiosum

Corpora cavernosa- one on the  left and the other on the right

These are cylindrical structures which have considerable amount of space which may be filled with blood during sexual arousal. The corpus spongiosum is a continuation of the bulb of penis while the corpora cavernosa are connected to the two crura of penis. The corpus spongiosum carries the urethra. It is engorgement of blood that leads to rigidity or erection during sexual arousal aided by the parasympathetic fibers which supply the ischiocavernosus.
