MAMMARY BRANCHES OF POSTERIOR INTERCOSTAL ARTERIES

 

ORIGIN:  Posterior intercostal artery

COURSE/DISTRIBUTION: These branches of the posterior intercostal arteries arise at the 2nd to 4th intercostals space and they supply the breasts, especially in females, and are enlarged during lactation.

BRANCHES: Glandular branches
