PROFUNDA BRACHII

ORIGIN: Brachial artery

COURSE/DISTRIBUTION: This artery springs from the brachial artery from its medial and posterior aspects a little below the origin of that artery at the lower border of the teres major. It then accompanies the radial nerve in the groove for the radial nerve at the back of the Humerus. It runs from medial aspect to lateral, and at the lateral part, it divides into its two terminal branches- the middle collateral artery and the radial collateral artery.
