One articular facet on Head. Has posterior angle bent from tubercle on its shaft , and an anterior angle placed between the attachments of external oblique muscle of abdomen on one hand and serratus anterior or latissimus dorsi, on the other. Smaller than 9th.  Costochondral angle more acute than 9th.
